The Best Airport Tips and Tricks for 2023

You’re going on vacation, yippee! Well fasten your seatbelts, it will be smooth flying if you know these great tips.

Tip 1: BYOS “Bring your own snacks”. Airport food and the snacks you can get on the airplane could get pricey, so if you’re wanting to stick to your travel budget, it might be smart to BYOS, but please leave your fishy snacks at home, don’t be that person!

Tip 2: Make sure your devices are all charged up. There’s nothing worse than getting to your seat, sitting down and realizing your wireless headphones are dead! Also pack your chargers with you in your personal item, its always a good idea to have them within reach!

Tip 3: Stay Hydrated! I love bringing hydrating face and eye masks on the plane with me. The reused air on planes almost always leaves my skin feeling very dry! These help keep my skin nice and dewy during (and after) my flight.

Tip 4: Another part of staying hydrated, is your water intake! We like to bring an empty water bottle so we can fill it up at a water station. Paying $10.00 for a bottle of water at kiosk is outrageous!

Tip 5: Airports and planes are full of germs. I am that crazy lady on the plane that brings sanitizing products and wipes down everything, the seat and the tray, along with the armrests and seatbelt.

Tip 6: Do you like to sleep on a plane? Then think about bringing a sleeping mask and neck pillow so you can get some shut-eye and rest before you land!

Tip 7: In my eyes, a comfy airport fit is a must! I feel like this is a no brainer, yet people still show up to the airport in tight jeans, these people give serial killer vibes.

Tip 8: Speaking of fits, keep a weather appropriate outfit in your personal item, or your carry-on to change into on the plane or in the terminal.

Tip 9: Again, with the clothes but, compression socks are also a game changer! (especially if your legs tend to feel tired and swell during a flight)

Tip 10: This is one is for the girlies! I don't really do my hair quite often and especially on vacation I feel like I could spend my time more wisely. So the night before our last trip, I slept in my bathrobe tie for a big heatless curl look. I decide to utilize the downtime and kept them in during our flights! Did I get some weird looks while at the airport? Yes maybe, but the end result was worth it!

Lots of these things were mistakes we have made, we now make sure we always follow them to ensure the best travel day possible!
